Still energized by Hands OFF!? Hope so, because we have ACTIONS!

Our work isn't done! This rally was a battle, but the war is long! We want you to understand that you are now one of the 3.5% that it takes to stop a dictatorship. Democracy is an active duty — one which involves, as Cory Booker said during his marathon record-breaking speech, ‘good trouble’. And this is what he was talking about! Showing up, being here, and coming back!

1. Contact your legislators. Look up both your state and federal elected officials and put their phone numbers and emails in your contacts. Have those at the ready and use them regularly to make sure your representatives are fighting hard to defeat the Trump agenda!

2. Download the 5 Calls app.  This app makes it easy for you to reach your members of Congress and make your voice heard” pls add “on a whole range of issues.” followed by “5 Calls provides the scripts for your calls, too. Four million calls have been sent since the inauguration!

3. Spread the word. Take what you have learned at the rally, or from the rally video, and share it widely. You now are all important messengers into your communities, your work places, your neighborhoods, your extended families. Tell as many people as you can why you attended the rally, what you learned from the speakers, the other protesters, and what you’re inspired to do next. Invite them to join you!

4. Stay engaged! Show up to more pro-democracy protests, rallies, marches. Bring friends. Get involved - whether with Women’s March MN, 50501 MN, Indivisible Twin Cities or any organization you heard from today or who supported this event. Engage with your school board, city council. Keep an eye out for the next action to be part of.

This fight will be a long fight. But together we will win.
