There is an effort in the Legislature, which the Court affirms is "institutionally better positioned" to address this issue, to change the statute to include being intoxicated as mental incapacitation (among other changes).
Please contact your state legislators and express support for HF707 (to Representatives) and SF1683 (to Senators) to eliminate the "drunk loophole" from state law.

Hear that sound? It’s democracy zooming into action. Tuesday night from 6-7pm, a group of Women’s March MN members took Time to Act. We met via Zoom. We introduced ourselves. It felt great to hear the voices of women. We made sure everyone was confident with the technology and the process and we got down to work.

We don’t have an Equal Rights Amendment in Minnesota. We don’t have one in the US. ERA Minnesota is working on it and they need our help. You can learn more by joining ERA MN on International Women’s Day (March 8). It will include inspirational speakers and opportunities to take action!

DO NOT MAIL your ballot. Drop off your ballot in person. Deadline for drop off is 3pm Nov 3.
