Thank you to everyone who joined us, Indivisible St Paul and St Croix Valley Indivisible for the online Tuesday Action Hour this week. Because Tuesday (March 8) was International Women’s Day, we spent the hour contacting policymakers about bills that would impact the lives of women, trans and nonbinary people.

Join or Volunteer - Day 1 for ERA!
January 31st is the first day of our 2022 Minnesota state legislative session. We are pleased to join ERA Minnesota in hosting ERA Rally @ the Capitol, where ERA bill authors and supporters will speak in the Capitol rotunda on why the ERA is foundational to providing equality for all. Please join the rally and stay to advocate for equality by meeting with their legislators. We will be following all recommended Covid safety protocols.

Take Action to Protect Abortion Rights
Then, on Friday, the Supreme Court left in place the extreme Texan anti-abortion law, SB8, (bans abortions after six weeks and establishes vigilante citizens to enforce it), while allowing very narrow challenges to it to proceed. SB8 has now been in place in Texas for over 100 days, denying healthcare to thousands of people who want and need it.
So, what can we do? Contact your senator! Find your senators’ contact details; see if your senator is already a co-sponsor.
